About Us

International Jedi Federation (IJF) is an international educational institute of Jedi realist/Jediism and a non-profit US Public Charity Organization under IRS 501(c)3, founded in 2024.

We are a global community dedicated to cultivating the modern Jedi Path, a way of life grounded in self-awareness, compassion, discipline, integrity, and courage. We bring together people from all backgrounds who share a commitment to personal growth, service, and ethical living.

IJF provides structured training, mentorship, and community programs that support Jedi from their first steps to Knighthood and beyond. Our members study philosophy, meditation, emotional intelligence, self-discipline, and real-world applications of the Jedi Compass.

We honor and encourage the exploration of what the Force means to each individual, whether viewed spiritually, symbolically, psychologically, or as a metaphor for connection and impact. What matters most is that this exploration becomes a catalyst for growth, self-awareness, and becoming a better person.

We are a community of peers, teachers, and lifelong learners who believe in showing up with authenticity, empathy, and a desire to improve not only ourselves, but the world around us.

Our Mission

We seek to cultivate a community of Empathy, Compassion, and Love, while promoting interconnectedness and Peace, as a starting point for learning. We provide educational programs that foster personal growth, ethical living, and spiritual development for those on the Jedi Path, both online and through our offline chapters.

 

Our Vision

Inspired by the fictional Jedi in the Star Wars universe (guardians of peace and justice), we envision a world in which our members are empowered with the skills to make a difference in their local communities through community service, disaster relief, and fundraising opportunities.

 

Our Organization

IJF is run by volunteer members, who are themselves practitioners of the Jedi Path.

IJF is administered by a Council, staffed by Knights and Masters, and other tasks are led by Knights and may be assisted by Apprentices. Ranks are conferred based on active participation and completion of educational milestones. To understand our ranking system, please read our Explanation of Titles Document.

Our Council

The IJF Council is the elected leadership body of the International Jedi Federation. Chosen by our community, the Council guides the Federation's direction, looks after its health, and makes sure everything we do stays true to our mission and to the Jedi Compass. The Council has Town Halls at least four times a year, and its meetings are announced to the membership in advance, so members always have a chance to be heard.

President - Knight Sophia Oceana 
The President chairs the Council and gives the Federation direction and leadership. They guide the Council's work and the IJF's overall vision. While the Vice President seat is open, the President also oversees our Chapter Leaders, Chapters, and Affiliates. Proposed amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws can be sent to the President in writing.

Director of Community - Knight Adastrea
The Director of Community builds connection and goodwill across our membership. With the help of a community committee, they look after the general welfare of the IJF and help our community live out its mission together. They also keep the record of Council meetings, membership records, and upkeep the website.

Director of Administration - Master Angelus Kalen

The Director of Administration is the IJF's treasurer. They look after the finances and give the membership a financial report each December.

Director of  Mystics - Master Setanaoko Oceana
The Director of the Mystics tends to the spiritual needs of the community. They oversee the ceremonies and rituals our organization holds, which helps keep our shared practice grounded and meaningful.

Our Council is elected by the membership. Every member in good standing gets one anonymous vote, and members rank the candidates in order of preference. Council members serve four-year terms, which begin on November 1st after the election. The Council is accountable to the community it serves, and the Knights and Masters can call a vote of no confidence if a Council member is no longer meeting the responsibilities of their seat.

Our Knights​

The Knights of the International Jedi Federation are dedicated members who have shown, through training, mentorship, and trials, that they live the virtues and ethics of the Jedi Compass. Recognized by their peers, they have proven they're ready for a path of greater responsibility. Our Knights serve as examples of the Jedi Path, and they keep growing in the Jedi Arts while serving their local communities, the IJF, and the wider Jedi community. A Knight serves to uplift others and help light the path for those who come after them, not to be recognized. 

 

Knighthood opens many ways to serve. Knights may mentor apprentices, teach, lead a Jedi Chapter, serve on any committee, or run for the IJF Council. They may also deepen their practice through one of our optional disciplines, such as the Sage Path or the Mystic Path. These disciplines reflect how a Knight chooses to serve and not about rank or authority.
