Adastrea (She/Her) - Jedi Knight
Adastrea has been a Jedi Knight since 2021 and draws upon a diverse background in both professional and spiritual practices to guide her journey and teachings. Originally from Chicago, IL, and with deep family roots in Mexico and Colombia, Adastrea’s path has been one of exploration, healing, and growth.
With over 12 years of experience as a certified veterinary nurse, Adastrea brings a compassionate approach to all beings. Her dedication to service extends beyond her veterinary work, as she has also been a certified rape crisis counselor with Resilience and a certified SomatIQ breathwork practitioner. Currently, she is in the process of also becoming a certified professional cuddler with Cuddle Sanctuary, driven by her belief in the healing power of platonic touch.
Adastrea’s spiritual path is richly influenced by Curanderismo and Native American practices, which she integrates into her teachings and her understanding of the Force. She believes that true healing and connection come from looking within and embracing the strength of our diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Her introduction to the Jedi community came in 2014, inspired by the prequels of Star Wars, particularly the journey of Anakin Skywalker. This connection led her to explore the Jedi Path more deeply, through multiple orders. Overcoming her social anxiety, Adastrea attended her first National Jedi Gathering in 2018, which became a transformative experience. Since then, she has been actively involved in various Jedi projects. Knighted by Jedi Praxeum and then International Jedi Federation in 2023.

Outside of her professional and Jedi commitments, Adastrea enjoys a variety of activities that keep her grounded and connected. She loves playing the ukulele, volleyball, and is exploring bo staff training, with a keen interest in delving deeper into lightsaber flow arts and remains open to where the Force will guide her next.
Living with her partner, Alex, and their two beloved cats, Orion and Gotham, Adastrea finds joy in forming new connections and engaging with others who share her passion for growth and learning.
Adastrea is excited to bring her experience, passion, and wisdom to IJF, helping others explore their own paths and find healing through the Force.
